So, it’s that time of the month again: Look Fantastic Beauty Box!
Following on from last month’s box which celebrated Look Fantastic’s 2nd birthday of their beauty box, we have been sent a whole load of beauty goodies to try. I was initially surprised by the weight of the box this month before opening it and realising how HUGE the ELLE magazine is. The ELLE magazine is one of the selling points of Look Fantastic for me as it has so much content that it feels like the excitement of opening the box lasts a bit longer than other beauty boxes. Anyway, lets go into a bit more depth with what we got in our boxes this month.
As always, if you just want to know our overall opinion of Look Fantastic, here you are:
“The Look Fantastic Beauty Box is great for those on a budget but still want some quality beauty goodies delivered to their door every month. From as little as £11.25 per month including delivery you can get over £50 worth of beauty products every single month. Products in previous boxes have included: Bee Good Vanilla and Honey Lip Balm, Renu Lip and Eye Active Lift, Balance Me Congested Skin Serum, and much more. Product Breakdown (Look Fantastic October 2016)
As you can see, we have a lot of great and varied products to look at this month. You will have heard of a couple of the brands this month but likely won’t have heard of the others. This is the biggest appeal of beauty boxes as it lets you try products you probably wouldn’t have even known about if you weren’t subscribed. Lets get on with the products:
(1) Oskia Renaissance Mask
Designed to make you radiant and glowing, this award winning facial mask is infused with a blend of fruit acids including lemon, grape & passion fruit. Oskia suggest using this the night before a special event to cleanse your skin and unclog your pores. I have only had a couple of chances to use this but I am pretty impressed at the results, I mean I would hope it would work considering the price (normally £50 for a 50ml tub).
(2) Mio Liquid Yoga Restorative Bath Soak
I was quite interested to try this product, I mean yoga in a bottle? A blend of lavender, epsom salts and mandarin is designed to relieve tension and muscular aches while encouraging a relaxing atmosphere. Mio suggest the best time to use this is when all you are wanting is a relaxing night in and to combine it with their Liquid Yoga Space Spray which can be put on your pillow for an even more relaxing night.
(3) Polaar Genuine Lapland Lip Balm
I have always been a fan of lip balms and definitely think i’ll be adding this one to my christmas list this year! Created to give you super soft lips, this cream is free from fragrance colour and parabens so it is create for anyone with sensitive lips. The cream contains Polar Berries, Blackberries and Lingon Berries to protect your lips against environment damage.
(4) Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel
Again, this is on the higher end of products in terms of price so I was really happy to see it included in this month’s box so I can at least give it a go. This treatment works to immediately brighten your skin and leave you looking glowing. Murad even hint at the fact that you can actually use this product on your chest as well to ‘reveal a younger looking decollete!’
(5) Laura Geller: Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liner
After last month’s mix up with the pencils I had originally thought this was an added extra that we should have been sent last month. It doesn’t look like that was the case however, but I still think this was my favourite product this month! Given the fact that it is waterproof as well means that it stays on all day long and require minimal touch-ups. You will get 1 of 3 colours: Cabernet – Pinky Mauve, Claret – Warm Brown Red or Chianti – Mauve Cherry.
(6) Alterna: Caviar Moisture Intense Treatment
Caviar in a beauty product? Nothing like living the high life! This is a pre-shampoo treatment which is made to be used on dehydrated hair that is in need of a moisture boost. With extracts of real caviar, this treatment should smooth frizzy hair, repair damaged hair and make your hair just stronger overall.
Overall review of Look Fantastic October 2016
I was very pleased with my Look Fantastic Beauty Box this month and think they have done a great job following up from their birthday box last month. While some of these products are a bit above what I normally pay for beauty products, it just makes me love these boxes even more as I get to try expensive products at a fraction of the cost. My favourite products this month has definitely got to be the Laura Geller Lip pencil, since getting my box I have wore it near enough everyday! Please let me know what your favourite product was this month in the comments below!
